’64 Chevy Pickup Fleetside – Revell kit – hood details [4]

April 11, 2014

On this post I want to show you how I improved the hood details. I first saw this kind of hood structure details at scale models my bro Iggy did. I instantly got  hooked on “hood detailing”.

Although this details will be difficult to see in the finished model, I wanted to do it anyway. It’s much easier than it seems and I think it gives the whole thing a much more realistic feeling. I love that.

Well, here you see the step by step process of the ’64 Chevy Pickup hood details. Of course, you first have to find picture references of the real thing. Below this post you’ll find the Pinterest board I’ve created with my reference pictures for this project.
Once you have your reference pictures is just question of copying what you see. All details are made with styrene sheets (…what else?).

Great detail Seb, your pics and text on this and the hinged doors are just in time for a 1956 ford custom I’m building.
