YPSI-ARBOR BOWL Sign – Vintage neon sign [blueprints]
The YPSI-ARBOR Bowl Sign is not only a great vintage neon sign, but it became hot news as it went up for auction when the YPSI-ARBOR lanes closed on May 2011 after 40 years in business. The auction became even more popular as Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, famous for their TV show “American Pickers“, expressed interest in purchasing the sign and donating it to the Henry Ford Museum, but finally the didn’t make any offers. On october 2013 the YPSI-ARBOR Bowl was demolished. As you’ll see on Google’s street view, at the bottom of this page, there is not much left from sign.
Luckily for us, scale model builders, that’s not a problem. If it doesn’t exit or you can’t get it, you just build it, don’t you?
