Ford Taunus M Club Nederland

August 22, 2013

During the Framer’s Day in Alphen (The Netherlands) I met the guys from the “Taunus M Club Nederland“. A group of very friendly and enthusiastic classic Ford fans.

The club focus mainly on the Ford Taunus models, (specialy the “M” series) but as the Taunus was the basis for many other Ford models, owners of this related models are also welcome, like me, owing a Ford Granada. I have a special connection with the Ford Taunus because my parents used to own a pair of them. I have good memories of those cars. Maybe that’s why I still like my Granada that much.

Anyway, for thos of you not living in Europe this car might be totally unknown. The Ford Taunus was a very successful model in many countries, not only in Europe but also in Argentina and Turkey. The model was built from 1939 to 1994. Here you have a few pictures showing many model variations along the decades smong other cars that were also present during the meeting such as a few Model A Ford, a Ford Mustang, a pair of Ford Cortina and some Ford Transit..
