On my previous post I already shared with you some pictures about the making and delivery of the king-bed sized monument valley diorama. On this post I want to share with you more cool pictures of this very singular project.
Monument Valley Diorama – The Roswell incident scenario
One of HorizonHobby‘s request was to create some kind of Roswell incident scenario for the RC-quadcopter using blue led-lights and smoke. This effect is good appreciated in a dark room… unluckily MediaMarkt uses a LOT of light in their stores what makes this effect less visible on location. Here you have a few pictures for you to enjoy the Roswell incident feeling in the dark.
I used a 1:18 scale 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria and 1:25 scale 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner for the shooting in a dark room turning only the blue led lights on.
Monument Valley Diorama – Classic cars
I just couldn’t resist to shoot a few pictures of the monument valley diorama featuring some of my favorite classic cars from my model car collection.
Really cool night shots !! Love the one with the couple sitting in the car. Really nice stuff Seb !! What material is the mountain and rocks made of and the water is awesome !
Hi Terry, I’m glad you like the night photo shootings. That pic with the couple is also one of my favorites. You know the kit, don’t you? Revell’s ’59 Ford Galaxie Skyliner. One of the few model car kits that include figures. That’s an original vintage kit that I built back in the 80’s. About the techniques, the mountain is made out of styrodur, the rocks are real rocks that I managed to find in a store (after lots of searching) and the water is made with transparent and white silicon, I’m glad you like it!. The palm trees are hand made.
Thanks Seb ! Cool stuff !!!
