Most of us love summer time! Nice weather, sun, BBQ…. and classic cars! Around here, where I live, you can see lots of classic cars. But yesterday, the coolest thing happened to me! I went to see a used car on sale at this man’s repair garage. It was a BMW from 80s, like the one I had not so long ago (you may have seen it on this blog already). I was just curious about it, so I called and drove there to check out the bimmer.
I was about to take off, when I noticed his white 1965 Ford Mustang convertible parked in front of his garage. I asked him if we would let me check it out. He said something like “yeah, sure… how about taking it for a ride?”. I thought he would let me go for a spin with him (me, sitting on the passenger side). But then, he starts the engine, tells me a few “special things to be careful with”, gets out of the car, leaves the door open and gives me a hint about which road to take. I was speechless. I’ve been a great fan of early Mustangs since I’m 10 or 11, I don’t remember. Probably since always. I never had a Mustang, never sat in a Mustang and I had never driven a Mustang. So I was truly speechless! It was a great experience, not only being able to take this beauty for a spin, but also that someone who doesn’t even know me at all, is that generous.
Here are some pics!
This was the moment, when I was getting into the car, right after he hinted me about which road to take.
And this is me 😉 My girlfriend was there too, so she was so kind to take pics. I was so out of my mind, that I didn’t even think about taking pics!
As I told you, I’ve seen some other cool cars around here lately. Here are some pics, enjoy!
This is a magnificent 1955 Cadillac Coupe de Ville I saw some weeks ago, while going to the public swimming pool for a refreshing day. Needles to say, this is really a great car. Very elegant!
Right on the same day, after seeing the Cadillac, I saw this Ford Hot Rod. Although the rear wheel is kind of low, the car was generally in a very good shape. It some just some modifications, but nothing radical. I like mild hot rods a lot! Nice color too! It’s a cool inspiration for a scale model!
Thanks so much you all you do, it is great to see pics from Europe that I will never see in person. Salute.
Thanks a lot Jack for your feedback!
Only american can give his precious Mustang’s keys to a totally stranger… For this reason USA is a dream land, especially for car lovers. Great pictures, lucky one!
Well… the guy who gave the keys to my bro was a guy from Switzerland…. in Switzerland…
