In this post, I will show you the work of two of our readers: John and Marc. To start with, I would like to show you John’s wooden gas station. He likes visible gas pumps. as he told me. He used one he purchased for this diorama, and weathered it himself to make to look used.
I like this diorama a lot. Look at the small details. The roof has tires on it – to avoid the wind blowing the sheet metal? Look behind the building, there is what I guess it is a toilet – as it used to be a loooong time ago, outside the main building. The front door has a lamp above it and small phone sign next to it. I love those details! Not to mention the T Model parked next to the pump!
The red truck coming out of the garage looks great! I can imagine the good old days full of these kind of trucks. What about all that stuff along the side of the building? Really neat! Again, you can see the small lamp above the side door. Thanks John for the pics!
Marc sent me these rides he made. The pics look really great on in from of this garage diorama. This roadster looks really cool! I love the color combination: black body with red rims! If you look at the engine, you will see some details, such as the plug cables.
This rat rod looks really mean! I like the rusty look of the grille.
This Model T has a real wooden loading bed. The engine has the appropriate wiring, as well as really cool side pipes!. The seat looks almost like a park bench! Really rat rod like! Thanks Marc for the pics!
Hi Iggy,
thanks for posting my pictures!!!
Regards
Marc
Hey marc, I came across another post where you were looking for info on the Tiki Warriro funy car and wondered what all you had come up with. I’m working on a pair of 1/24 current revision Tikis for Ron himself. I have some pretty good digital images of the car and decals, but the side window and back window are a litle off. Just wondering if you were able to get any images that I might be able to use to get what I have to work a litle better. You can email me at stephandcaleb@gmail.com if you can be of any help.
Thanks!
caleb
