A few months ago I was invited by the redaction of AIM (Auto In Miniatuur) to write an article about what we do (see article below – in dutch). I was quite excited as I didn’t expect NAMAC ( Nederlandse Algemene Miniatuur Auto Club – Dutch General Miniature Car Club) to be interested in our scale models as the club is mainly focused on small scale die cast collectors.
If you’re into small die cast model cars and trucks, NAMAC is the place to be. Their magazine (AIM) will keep you up to date on new releases, rare die cast models and everything die cast related. The magazine and the website is in dutch but if you have some questions, just contact them, I’m sure they’ll be happy to help you (by the way: everyone in The Netherlands speaks english)
On their website you’ll also find a huge gallery with thousands of pictures of almost all die cast models in existence. If you’re looking for that one model to complete your collection you might find it there.
If your are in Europe, you might also want to visit their trade fair, which takes place in Houten (near Utrecht) every two months. The NAMAC trade fair with more than 4000 visitors is one of the biggest of its kind in Europe. Again, the focus is mainly on die cast models (cars and trucks), but you’ll also find some interesting plastic kits and model car related stuff as well.
