Abandoned T1 Volkswagen flatbed pickup truck

A few weeks ago I posted about the american cars I’ve found during my holidays in Turkey. Well, I have one more find to share with you. This abandoned T1 Volkswagen flatbed pickup truck was next to the resort where we were staying. It was no possible to get closer to the car for making better pictures. I shot a few pics through the resort’s fence. I thought the pics would not turn good enough to share on the blog, but the feeling when watching the pictures at home I just loved the sphere of this pictures, sneaking into the nerghbourgh’s property through the bushes. Some kind of cool!

It seems that VW was used as a children’s playground as you can read “spielmobil” on the front of the bus, which in german means “play mobile”. There are mostly german, dutch and scandinavian tourists in that area of Turkey, so I was not surprised to find most of things written in german.

Hi John, Thanks for your feedback! I would like to see more of your HotWheels stuff. Do you have a site or profile somewhere that I can see?
Take care, Seb

I think the pics have come out even better because of the “sneak vieuw”. My compliments! But what you have seen was not a real flatbed. It was once an old bus. They have chopped of the top half of the body. It can be seen bij the placing of the airvents en offcourse bij the lack of gates on the bed. There should have been drop gates. But still a great find.

Hi Arco, yes, first I thought it was a shame I could not come closer to take pictures, but afterwards I realized the pics look great becuase of that “sneak” effect. I think this T1 was used for children to play on in the resort where we were staying, that’s why so many parts are missing.
