ModelJunkyard with the Texaco diorama on MotorManiacs Magazine #12

As you already know, Motor-Maniacs is our favorite german Magazine. The cool thing about this magazine is that they are really open minded and that they respect all kinds of car related passions. From the hardcore traditional Hot-Rod Scene to the low budget guy driving a european classic car including the perfectionist restorer. This is the first magazine I see (and I speak 4 languages!) that represents our way of feeling about cars, and I guess the way most people feel about ’em as well. You see a car, you like it and that’s it. No dogma, no religion. You like an off frame meticulous factory original restoration, that’s fine, you like highly customized classic cars or even self build rat rods, there is a place for you at Motor Maniacs Magazine as well.

I always wondered, why do you have to make a dogma out of your passion for classic cars? My brother Iggy and I can feel the same passion for a perfectly restored ’32 Ford as for a ’32 Ford Rat Rod. Most Magazines represent the one or the other “religion” and their followers excluding all other so called “profane guys”. Well, luckily for us we find at Motor Maniacs a place for all kind of car fans. And they even make place for our scale models and dioramas!! This time with our Texaco Gas Station Diorama. Once more, we want to thank the redaction and specially Boris Glatthaar for the article about us.

Thank you guys! Great Magazine! My religion now is going to the store and buying Motor-Maniacs as soon as the new issue is published!

If you want to improve your german by reading great illustrated literature, you can buy single copies of the magazine online or subscribe to the magazine. As far as I know the magazine is also available at big press stores in the german speaking countries. It was also available in The Netherlands at press stores only for a short time, somehow they discontinued selling it here.

By the way, the Golf on the cover is just great…  may be there will be a 1/25 scale replica of it soon… who knows? As long as we keep buying Motor-Maniacs we’ll have enough inspiration for future models, and of course, for our REAL SIZE ModelJunkyard-mobile.

Wie viele von Euch schon wissen, Motor-Maniacs ist unsere deutsche Lieblingszeitschrift. Das geilste an dieser Zeitschrift ist dass es sich um eine sehr aufgeschlossene Zeitschrift handelt die den gleichen Respekt zeigt für alle Sorten von Auto Leidenschaft. Vom hardcore traditionell Hot Rod fans bis hin zu der normaler Typ der mit Leidenschaft mit seinem europäischen Youngtimer täglich durch die Gegend fährt. Auch für den perfektionistische Restaurateur gibt es hier genug Raum. Motor-Maniacs ist der erste Zeitschrift den ich sehe (und ich spreche 4 Sprachen!) die mein Gefühl für Autos echt vertritt,und ich glaube das ist die Art und Wiese wie die meisten Leute über Autos fühlen. Du siehst ‘ne Karre und es gefällt Dir oder nicht. So einfach ist es. Kein Dogma, keine Religion. Manchmal findest Du ein Top restaurierte Klassiker geil, und das ist gut so. Ein anderes Mal findest Du ein total schrottiges Rat Rod geil. Egal was es Dir gefällt, es gibt genug Raum für Auto-Leidenschaft auf Motor-Maniacs.

Ich habe mich immer gefragt, warum muss mann ein Dogma aus die eigene Leidenschaft für Old- und Youngtimer machen? Mein Bruder Iggy und ich können die gleiche Leidenschaft für ein perfekt restaurierten ’32 Ford wie für ein ’32 Ford Rat Rod empfinden. Die meisten Zeitschriften vertreten der einen oder anderen wie eine Religion und lassen alle andere “profane Leute” raus. Zum Glück gibt es Motor-Maniacs wo es genug Raum gibt für alle Arten von Fahrzeug Fanatismus. Und die machen auch noch ein bisschen Platz für uns mit unsere Modelle und Dioramas. Nochmals, vielen Dank an dir Redaktion und ins besondere an Boris Glatthaar für diesen Artikel über uns.

Leute, Vielen Dank! Super Zeitschrift! Weiter so! Meine Religion ist es jetzt zum Kiosk rennen jedes Mal wenn die neue Ausgabe von Motor-Maniacs erschienen ist!

Die Motor-Maniacs gibt es -so weit ich weiß- im alle grossen Kiosks im deutschsprachigen Raum. Man kann auch einzelne Zeitschriften online kaufen oder natürlich abonnieren. Für eine sehr kurze Zeit am Anfang war Motor-Maniacs auch in den Niederlande zu bekommen, leider wird es hier nicht mehr verkauft. Gott sei Dank fahre ich regelmässig nach Deutschland so dass ich meine neue Motor-Maniacs nach Hause mitnehmen kann!

Übrigens, der Golf auf dem Cover is eine super geile Karre… vielleicht gibt es demnächst einen Nachbau im Maßstab  1:25… wer weiß. So lange wir Motor-Maniacs weiter kaufen wird es für uns genug extra Inspiration für zukünftige Modelle geben, und natürlich auch für unserem echten ModelJunkyard-mobil.
