Junk car pics from ModelJunkyard’s friends

Having a blog is great! You start having contact with people you would never have the opportunity to meet other way. I’m surfing here and there and that’s how I sometimes find cool stuff from like minded people. Other times it’s the other way around. Other people find us.

Well, here are 2 guys I met googling around. The first one is a photographer from Wyoming, his name is Mike Cavaroc. He specializes in wildlife and nature photography, and he found this “wild beast” somewhere in Arizona along the Route 66. I asked him if I could post his pic on our blog. He agreed.

Another cool guy I meet by coincidence is Thorsten Hill. He built a website a few years ago to centralize all custom and hot rod cars for the game GTA San Andreas. I exchanged a few emails with him. He shared with me this cool pics from Desert Valley Auto Parts, a world famous junkyard, featured in the reality show “desert car kings” on Discovery Channel.

Thorsten told me that the guys from DVAP are totally cool and if you want to shoot a few pics on their junkyard you just need to ask at the front desk and they’ll let you in. I’m planning a whole day (or may be a whole week) during my next trip to the U.S. for that!

In the meanwhile I have to be satisfied watching this great pics from Thorsten. Enjoy them you too!

If you have any cool pics, feel to share them with us. You can contact us at: info (at) modeljunkyard (dot) com

How often do yall get pics of old rusted out VW beetles. I am interested in building an old bug then rusting it out. I was wondering if yall have friends that have rusted bugs they can share pics with the rest of us rust heads. Thank you.

Happy building,

Check out this website I came a cross. It’s full of junk cars and trucks of many years. Just click on the year or model. When the picture comes up click on it and it becomes full screen. You can right click and save the picture from there. I put it in my favorites Enjoy!
